Applications due: Feb. 4, 2010

High school seniors in Wisconsin have until Feb. 4 to apply for scholarships worth up to $1,500 from the Wisconsin State Telecommunications Foundation.

The applications are available from high school guidance counselors.

Each year, local phone companies participate in the WSTF scholarship program, teaming up with high schools in their service areas.

In March, the WSTF panel reviews each application and selects 30 finalists based on applicants’ grades, academic achievements and extra-curricular activities. Scholarships are then presented in late May or early June during high school graduation or awards night programs.

The McKelvey Foundation celebrates that drive and determination by awarding 125 scholarships to high school seniors who’d be the first in their families to attend college. Dedicated and involved students whose resources may be limited, but whose ambitions are not.

The Foundation will award $12,000 scholarships for qualifying high school seniors to attend ANY four-year college in their home state.

Andy McKelvey knows what it is to dream big - to have the vision, creativity and drive to convert a new idea into a thriving business. He also knows what it takes to make those dreams a reality.

That’s why the McKelvey Foundation is honored to award $40,000 scholarships to young entrepreneurs nationwide who have started their own businesses.

Each scholar will be awarded up to $10,000 per year to attend any four-year college within the United States. Applicants will be required to meet scholarship criteria (below). Winners of the Entrepreneurial Scholarships will enjoy being part of a larger entrepreneurial networking community and will be given the opportunity to meet with other scholars during our summer e-Venture program.

Future Leaders Fund is an educational international organization. The goal of this scholarship is to find a student who possesses true leadership qualities and has a financial need. We are looking for an individual who wants to make a difference, is not afraid of challenges and is passionate about his/her ideas. The Scholarship amount is $200.
