Attorney-CPA Foundation 2006-2007 Essay Contest

The Attorney-CPA Foundation invites you to submit an essay in the undergraduate or graduate/professional division of the 2007 essay contest. The contest has two divisions: an undergraduate division for candidates for a bachelor’s degree, and a graduate/professional division for candidates for a graduate or professional degree. Each division has a separate topic, each division will be judged separately, and each division offers a Grand Prize of $2,500 plus an expense-paid trip to receive the prize at a meeting of the American Association of Attorney-Certified Public Accountants (AAA-CPA). Other prize winners will receive a total of $3,000 in each division.

Iris Chang Memorial Essay Contest 2007

Iris Chang Memorial Fund is established in memory of Iris Chang, author, historian and human rights activist. The Fund is committed to carrying out Iris Chang’s unfinished dreams and preserving her legacy. She believes that only from truth in history can we secure justice for victims, safeguard humanity from repeating mistakes of the past, and bring about genuine reconciliation and lasting peace among all people. The goal of the Fund is to educate the public about the importance of remembrance of history, raise the awareness of the painful history of World War II in Asia and support education and research of young generations in U. S. with regard to Asian war history. The essays will be in line with Iris Chang’s spirit and passion in seeking the truth and justice as well as defending human rights.

National Collegiate Agricultural Ambassadors (National FFA Organization)

This Spring National FFA will be looking for college students equipped with presentation and networking skills to promote agricultural understanding and development. Twenty college students will be selected from across the nation to serve the role of a National Collegiate Agricultural Ambassador for one year. Ambassadors must have completed their first year in post-secondary education to be eligible.

The program’s focus is to develop and implement a sustainable agricultural awareness program that influences and activates teachers and students at the community level to share the importance of agriculture.
