T UWS is designed to continue the development of young authors & bring awareness of the employment opportunities in the writing field. Student must submit essay online at www.elpublishers.com/content/univsubmit.php There are four topics to choose from:

• If you had to choose a successor to the current Secretary-General Kofi Annan, who would it be and why?
• Which country do you feel will experience the greatest economic growth over the next 10 years?
• In your opinion, what is the best website on the internet and why?
• If you could attend any university or college in the world to obtain your degree from, which institution would you choose and why?

There are 4 scholarship opportunities per year.
Deadlines are: July 1, 2007 and September 1, 2007

The FBI Common Knowledge Challenge is available to current high school and college students. The intent of the scholarship is to assist students in understanding what it means to work for the FBI as an agency and how to choose the agency as a career path. You will participate in a quiz at the Common Knowledge Scholarship Foundation website during the third week of October (Sunday through Saturday). Quiz questions will come from information found on the FBI website.

The Alvin J. Cox Memorial Fund is available to college students in need of financial assistance. You must submit an essay on any topic of your choosing as long it includes: Your reason for deciding to attend college, your reason as to why you believe you deserve the scholarship and your chosen college major.
