Collegiate Inventors Competition

OBJECTIVES
Introduced in 1990, the Collegiate Inventors Competition has rewarded and encouraged hundreds of students to share their inventive ideas with the world. The Competition promotes exploration in invention, science, engineering, technology, and other creative endeavors and provides a window on the technologies from which society will benefit in the future.

UTA Program

You apply to be an undergraduate teaching assistant for a particular semester. Due to the nature of the VIGRE grant, you must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident to participate in the UTA Program. (If you are neither a US Citizen nor a Permanent Resident, there may be another scholarship, fellowship, teaching assistantship, or research assistantship opportunities available to you. Please consult the Math Center for current opportunities.) You must also be a math major at the University to be accepted into the UTA program.

Siemens Competition in Math, Science, & Technology 2007-08

America’s premier high school science competition begins its ninth year as online registration and instructions for entering the 2007-08 Siemens Competition in Math, Science & Technology are posted on the Siemens Foundation website, www.siemens-foundation.org and www.collegeboard.com/siemens. More than $700,000 is awarded each year through the Siemens Competition, with college scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $100,000 to students, as well as $2,000 per project to the high school of every regional finalist.

Rising high school seniors are eligible to enter individual research projects in the competition, and all high school students (from grades 9-12) are eligible to enter projects as part of a 2 or 3 member team. (more…)

National Science Foundation Scholarship

Estrella Mountain seeks to recruit students who are pursuing degrees in the fields of biology, computer sciences, physical sciences, mathematics, and engineering. Although we seek to increase the number of historically underrepresented students in these areas, all students who meet the following criteria are encouraged to apply and will be considered in the process.
