Scholarships for Women in Higher Education - The Lura Bradfield Foundation
Historically, LBF has awarded scholarships in the amount of $12,500 each to four women each year. The preference is to create a lasting relationship with the recipients, so that they can count on this important source of funding throughout their education, both in undergraduate and graduate school. These scholarships are available only to women attending American University or The George Washington University, both in Washington, DC.
Eligibility Requirements for Women
- Demonstrate a financial need
- Maintain a “B” average or better for two years prior to receiving the scholarship
- Provide three letters of reference
- Be working towards a bachelor or advanced degree
Application Deadline : June 1st
The Successful Recipient Will
- Submit a written report to the officers, including grades received, no later than the anniversary of the scholarship award, documenting the use of funds
- Report annually at a public forum describing the use of the funds
