Fulbright German-Studies Seminar


The German-American Fulbright Commission annually administers a German Studies Seminar for U.S. university and college teachers. The two-week seminar covers wide areas of contemporary Germany with program portions in Berlin and other cities in eastern and western Germany. Each year the seminar is dedicated to a special topic. For example, this year’s seminar dealt with: “Muslim Minorities: Opportunities and Challenges in West European Societies. German and French Experiences.”

The 2008 seminar will take place from June 10 - 23, 2008 and focus on: “Germany in a Changing Europe - Transatlantic Ties, Transatlantic Challenges”. The seminar will be conducted in English. Up to 25 grants are available. Award benefits include program costs, round-trip transportation and a per diem allowance for meals, lodging, and local travel.
