The Archbold Fellowship Program was established in 1979, and it is administered by the Nansen Fund, Inc. in Houston, Texas. The Norway-America Association is collaborating with the Nansen Fund in the administration of the fund. The fellowship is awarded by The Archbold Fellowship Program and the award can amount to up to $5,000. The applicant must be a US citizen doing research or work at the postdoctorate or postgraduate level. The applicant may also be working with professional development. The fellowship is designed to let the student go to Norway to study at the University in Oslo. However, American students must attend language classes in Norway prior to the start of the academic year, and they are only allowed to apply during even-numbered years (2006, 2008 etc).
