The NORTANA Travel Grant
Applicants that are eligible for the Norwegian Information Service Travel Grant must be members of NORTANA – the Norwegian Researchers and Teachers Association of North America. The organization consists of teachers who teach Norwegian or Norwegian culture at colleges and universities in North America or graduate students studying the same subjects in the United States. Applicants that are graduate students must have passed their preliminary exams before they apply for the scholarship. The grant is awarded by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Norwegian Information Service in the United States, and the recipients must study or do research in Norway and be a US citizen. The grants can be of $750 to $1,500, and the application deadline is February 16. For more information, please contact the Royal Norwegian Consulate General in New York.
