Suffolk University Scholarship


The Sawyer Business School of Suffolk University invites applications for a full-time tenure track position in the Management Department as Assistant Professor of International Business beginning in the Fall 2008.

We are looking for candidates who can deliver high quality global business courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The Sawyer Business School focuses on global business and attracts students from around the world. Several of our over 100 faculty members are engaged in research with an international focus. The School offers a Global Business Program at the
undergraduate level, an MBA with Global specialization, and has required international business courses in other programs. Faculty have opportunities to develop and lead travel seminars to overseas locations (such as China, UK, India, Brazil, Germany, etc.) and teach at our overseas
campuses in Madrid (Spain) and Dakar (Senegal). We are attractively located in the heart of downtown Boston with easy access to the business/financial district.

Requirements: The person we hire will have a completed doctoral degree in international business by August 2008, or soon thereafter. Demonstrated teaching excellence, refereed publication(s), and relevant business or professional experience will enhance the candidacy. Teaching load is five courses per academic year in the undergraduate and graduate programs. As a tenure track position, this hire will be expected to maintain a stream of quality research within a broadly defined area of international business.
