IGERT at URI


The University of Rhode Island and the National Science Foundation have created a fellowship to help students to earn a Ph.D. in coastal and marine science and policy.
Qualifications: Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and must be accepted into a Ph.D. program at the University of Rhode Island.
Amount of Award: $30,000 annually.
Length of Award: Two years.
Number of Awards: Not specified
Application Deadline: March 1

Application Process:
Applicants must first apply and be accepted to a URI Ph.D. program. Application to the fellowship can occur while the application to URI is in process. Application is through the student’s major professor. The application itself includes: a curriculum vita, transcripts, a personal statement, and a letter of support.
