Greater Research Opportunities Fellowships


The Environmental Protection Agency provides Greater Research Opportunities Fellowships for Graduate Environmental Study.
Qualifications: Doctoral and master’s students at accredited universities in environmental fields are eligible to apply. Students must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and do not have to be admitted into a graduate program before applying, but need to provide proof of enrollment prior to receiving the award.
Amount of Award: Up to $37,000 per year (divided between a stipend, authorized expenses, and tuition and fees).
Length of Award: Up to two years for master’s students and up to three years for doctoral students.
Number of Awards: About 50.
Application Deadline: November
Application Process: Students need a sponsor at their institution, three references, and a statement of objectives.
