Gates Cambridge Scholarship
The Gates Cambridge Scholarship was established in hopes of creating a network of future leaders from around the world who will bring new vision and commitment to improving the lives of citizens in their respective countries. Students who gain admission to the University of Cambridge pursue one of the following courses of study: a second Bachelor’s degree, one-year postgraduate courses, or research leading to a Ph.D.
Qualifications: Applicants from every country are eligible to apply except those from the U.K. Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree prior to the set deadline. Students should be under the age of 30 and have outstanding qualifications.
Amount of Award: The scholarship covers University and College fees at applicable rates, a maintenance allowance sufficient for a single student (£8,400 for 12 months), one return economy airfare, and a further discretionary allowance (£2,000 per year).
Length of Award: Applicants may apply for graduate study or study for a second Bachelor’s Degree.

Application Process:
Students must gain admission to the University of Cambridge and to a constituent College AND apply for the Gates Scholarship. Students are expected to have excellent transcripts showing sustained academic achievement, two references, and a degree certificate or diploma. Students wanting to apply for graduate study or research at Cambridge (and for funding from the Gates Cambridge Trust and other trusts at Cambridge) must submit a GRADSAF form. The GRADSAF form can be submitted on-line or on paper. There is currently an application fee of £25 for the on-line application, but the paper application is free of charge (visit GRADSAF Form for more details). Applicants are also encouraged to nominate a referee who can write knowledgeably about them and comment authoritatively on their non-academic achievements.
