Dwight D. Eisenhower Transportation Fellowship


The Eisenhower Graduate Research Fellowship provides funding for students to become acquainted with transportation research. Students will have the opportunity to work full-time at one of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) facilities in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Students can normally receive academic credit for the program.
Qualifications: Applicants must be attending school full-time and be in a transportation-related discipline. College juniors, seniors, and graduate students (Master’s or Doctoral students) are eligible to apply.
Amount of Award: College seniors will receive $1,450/month, Master’s students will receive $1,700/month, and Doctoral students will receive $2,000/month. The program will also cover tuition and fees for project-related expenses.
Length of Award: Varies, up to 12 months.

Application Process: Students will submit 6 copies of the application materials. A faculty advisor is required as well as four letters of recommendation, official transcripts, and a resume.
