Women’s Research Institute


Description:
The Women’s Research Institute’s Student Grant Program is for students with research interests focusing on women’s lives and experiences, or on gender research. The Institute specifically “encourages research on international women, any collaborative projects, and interdisciplinary approaches.”

Qualifications: Be a full-time student in any academic field. Students must demonstrate that a faculty member supports the research and is willing to work closely with the student.

Amount of Award: Up to $500 per year. The award covers original research costs including research supplies, travel, and computer expenses. Research funds will be awarded in January.
Length of Award: One year.
Number of Awards: Varies
Application Deadline: September 30.

Application Process:
Students are required to submit a proposal using the Institute’s basic outline: project summary, project description, publication plans, and itemized budget. Research proposals will be accepted for thesis or dissertation projects from honor students, or graduate students. Students may pick up application forms from the Women’s Research Institute located in 1063 JFSB.
