Description:
ASF offers fellowships and grants for students to pursue research or study in one or more Scandinavian countries for up to one year. Awards are made in all fields of study. Applicants must arrange their academic or professional affiliations and secure these placements on their own.

Qualifications: Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents with a bachelor’s degree. Students need a well-defined project and it is beneficial to have some knowledge of the language.
Amount of Award: The award is for a year long stay and it supports project-related costs (maintenance, trans-Atlantic round-trip travel, in-country travel, tuition, and fees).
Length of Award: One year.
Number of Awards: N/A
Application Deadline: November 1.

Application Process:
Applications must be on official ASF forms and a $10 non-refundable fee is required. Students should also submit three letters of reference and their transcripts.
