Center for Women’s Studies
The Center for Women’s Studies, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, seeks an accomplished scholar in Women’s Studies, for a joint tenured or tenure-track position at open rank to begin August 18, 2008. Candidates may be from any L & S discipline, but must show an outstanding record of scholarship in their home discipline, a record of achievement in feminist scholarship in their field, and a demonstrated commitment to Women’s Studies.
Completion or near completion of the Ph.D. is expected; Women’s Studies graduate certificate or advanced degree is a plus. Appointment is 50% in each program with tenure home in the relevant department. Candidates teach two courses per year for each unit and are expected to contribute to undergraduate and graduate programs in Women’s Studies, including feminist theory and/or research methods, and in the relevant department.
