Datatel Scholars Foundation Scholarship


The Datatel Scholars Foundation Scholarship is open to outstandingstudents currently attending an eligible Datatel client college oruniversity. Both full- and part-time students (taking at least sixcredit hours/term) are encouraged to apply.

Eligibility
Foroutstanding students currently attending an eligible Datatel clientinstitution. The Datatel Scholars Foundation scholarship is open tofulltime and parttime students (taking at least six credit hours), aswell as undergraduate and graduate students.

Personal Statement Essay
TheDatatel Scholars Foundation scholarship personal statement essay shouldsummarize educational goals and objectives, where the applicant hasbeen as an individual, and where they hope their education will takethem. They should also indicate the difference a Datatel scholarshipwould make in their life and to those around them.

Award Amount
Theapplications for the Datatel Scholars Foundation scholarship aredivided into three groups based on the undergraduate tuition at thecollege or university the applicant attends.   Each group receivesscholarships and the Datatel Scholars Foundation Board of Directorsdetermines the number of scholarships each year. Award amounts for eachgroup are as follows:

Group A - $2,400
Group B - $1,600
Group C - $1,000

Winners Profile
Forthe 2006-2007 academic year awards, 38% of the students who werenominated by their institution won an award. The Foundation awarded 255scholarships totaling $425,000 in Datatel Scholars Foundationscholarships.
