Avis Rent A Car Scholarship
This is a graduate-level scholarship specifically for individuals who have already gained experience in the travel industry. Applicant must submit a 500-750-word essay explaining how the graduate program relates to his/her future career in the travel industry. The applicant must have a minimum of four years of full-time travel agency experience, and must currently be an owner/officer or employee of a travel agency. He/she must be enrolled in a minimum of two courses per semester in an accredited MBA or MS in Business or equivalent graduate degree program at a 4-year accredited college/university. Applicant must have at least a 3.0 average on a 4.0 scale and provide transcripts from the last academic term. If reentering school after spending time in the work force, applicant must submit an undergraduate transcript. The scholarship is renewable for up to three years provided the applicant maintains a superior grade point average. The applicant must be a resident, citizen, or legal alien of the United States or Canada.
