National Black MBA Association
The Central Florida Chapter of the National Black MBA Association is proud to announce its 2007 Graduate Scholarship Program. This year we will award a $2,000 scholarship to a qualified minority graduate student. If you are interested in applying
for this award please follow the guidelines below:
Scholarship Requirements:
To be eligible, applicants must be minority students enrolled in a graduate business program in a college or university in the United States accredited by the AACSB (AACSB International) at the time of award (Fall 2007).
Applicants must submit:
- A completed application
- An official graduate or college transcript
- A two-page essay
- A current resume
Scholarship Procedures:
- Complete the enclosed application packet.
- The application, essay, resume, and official transcripts must be
received no later than July 15th. - Winners will be notified in Fall 2007

- agree to participate in limited public relations activities for the Central Florida Chapter throughout the year
- agree to become an active member in your local chapter

Application materials:
ESSAY:
Applicants should prepare a two page, typed essay (double spaced, 12 point font)
that addresses one of the topics below:
- What recommendations would you give to Business Schools that want to
redesign their recruitment strategies to attract minority candidates? Once
enrolled, what resources or programs should be offered to help retain minority
students? - What can African Americans do to become more marketable in the global
economy?
Essays should have a cover page with essay title. DO NOT include the applicant’s name on the cover sheet.

RESUME
Resumes should not exceed 2 pages.
TRANSCRIPT(S)
Official transcripts are required for all coursework. If you are an upcoming first year graduate student, entering school in the Fall of 2007, you must submit your undergraduate transcripts only. All other students should submit transcripts from their
current graduate program. Transcripts must be stamped and sealed (no photocopies, computer printouts, or faxes will be accepted).
