James Madison Graduate Fellowships


Welcome to the James Madison Memorial Fellowship Foundation. Through a national competition, the Foundation offers James Madison Fellowships to a select group of individuals desiring to become outstanding teachers of the American Constitution.

Amount: Up to $24,000
Eligibility:
For students who demonstrate academic excellence and commitment to becoming a secondary school teacher of American history, government, or social studies. Students must: be a U.S. Citizen and a college senior or recent graduate, have a competitive GPA and plan to pursue full-time graduate study. Additionally, those who receive the award must teach secondary school for no less than one year for each full academic year of study under the fellowship.
