Whole World Scholarship


GRANT RECIPIENTS:
Recipients are selected using these factors: demonstrated academic success, evidence of interest in nontraditional cultures, student’s expression of diverse interests, and a genuine enthusiasm for learning about other cultures.

POST-STUDY ABROAD SERVICE COMPONENT:
Within three months after returning from study abroad, recipients of
this grant must contact the Promotion and Outreach Coordinator and participate in at least one EA-approved activity in which the student shares his or her experience with potential participants. The required activity must be approved by the Promotion and outreach Coordinator for Education Abroad.

Deadlines:

  • Spring Programs - April 1 - September 15
  • Fall Programs - December 1 - February 1
  • Summer Programs - March 1

Award Amounts:

  • $2,000 for full-year programs
  • $1,000 for semester programs
  • $500 for summer programs

Criteria:

    Currently a full-time undergraduate student at Penn State

  • Enrolled or planning on enrolling in a study abroad program
  • Will be going on one of the following programs:
    • CIEE Accra, Ghana
    • CIEE Amman, Jordan
    • EA Cairo, Egypt
    • CIEE Hanoi, Vietnam
    • AESOP Jaipur, India
    • CIEE Shanghai, China
    • CIEE St. Petersburg, Russia
    • C&I Salvador, Brazil
    • EA Puebla, Mexico
    • EA San Jose, Costa Rica
    • EA St. Augustine, Trinidad
