Whole World Scholarship
GRANT RECIPIENTS:
Recipients are selected using these factors: demonstrated academic success, evidence of interest in nontraditional cultures, student’s expression of diverse interests, and a genuine enthusiasm for learning about other cultures.
POST-STUDY ABROAD SERVICE COMPONENT:
Within three months after returning from study abroad, recipients of
this grant must contact the Promotion and Outreach Coordinator and participate in at least one EA-approved activity in which the student shares his or her experience with potential participants. The required activity must be approved by the Promotion and outreach Coordinator for Education Abroad.
Deadlines:
- Spring Programs - April 1 - September 15
- Fall Programs - December 1 - February 1
- Summer Programs - March 1
Award Amounts:
- $2,000 for full-year programs
- $1,000 for semester programs
- $500 for summer programs
Criteria:

Currently a full-time undergraduate student at Penn State
- Enrolled or planning on enrolling in a study abroad program
- Will be going on one of the following programs:
- CIEE Accra, Ghana
- CIEE Amman, Jordan
- EA Cairo, Egypt
- CIEE Hanoi, Vietnam
- AESOP Jaipur, India
- CIEE Shanghai, China
- CIEE St. Petersburg, Russia
- C&I Salvador, Brazil
- EA Puebla, Mexico
- EA San Jose, Costa Rica
- EA St. Augustine, Trinidad
