David L. Boren Undergraduate Scholarship


Please see Mandy Reinig if you are interested in applying for the 2007-2008 award cycle. The application process for this award is extensive and the applicant will have to be nearly finished with their application at the beginning of Fall 2006 to have a greater chance for a successful application.

Award Amounts:

  • Summer - up to $8,000
  • Semester - up to $10,000
  • Academic Year - up to $20,000


Criteria:

  • Be a U.S. Citizen
  • Be enrolled as an undergraduate at an U.S. college or university
  • Have a desire to study abroad
  • Be applying to a study abroad program, for academic credit, outside of Western Europe, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand
  • Desire to work for the Federal Government after graduation

Selection Criteria - Merit-based:

  • Academic record
  • Program preference
  • Language interest
  • Quality of proposed program
  • Commitment to international education to fulfill academic and career goals
