The IFSA Foundation Scholarship


Up to $2000 is available to offset the cost of a semester or academic year participation in a Penn State University-sponsored Study Abroad Program. To qualify for this support: the student must have completed 60 credits with a GPA of 2.5 or better, be currently enrolled, and accepted into a Penn State Altoona major, have a FAFSA on file, and have significant financial need. The international education activity must also have clear relevance to their selected degree program. Applications should be submitted to the Office of Education Abroad – W120 Smith Bldg. Deadline for submission is October 31st for spring semester; March 28th for fall semester and academic year.

Award Amount: up to $2000 for semester or year-long programs

Criteria:

  • Be enrolled in a Penn State Altoona major
  • Have a 2.5 G.P.A.
  • Have 60 credits at the time of applying
  • Be participating in a program of at least one semester in duration
  • Have a FAFSA on file
  • Have significant financial need
