To qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a minority student.
- Be currently enrolled in a full-time graduate business or management program in an accredited College or University in the United States.
- Be available to attend the St. Louis Chapter’s Corporate, Scholarship and Membership Reception in November 2007.
- Agree to become an active member in the St. Louis Chapter (student membership fees are deducted from the scholarship award).
Essay Topics:
Submit a two-page, typed essay (double-spaced, 12 point font) that addresses ONE of the topics below:
- What recommendations would you give to Business Schools that want to redesign their recruitment strategies to attract minority candidates? Once enrolled, what resources or programs should be offered to help retain minority students?
- What can African-Americans do to become more marketable in the global economy?
The essay should have a cover page with the essay title. To accommodate blind review, DO NOT include your name on the cover page or anywhere in the document.
TRANSCRIPT(S):
If you are a first year graduate student, entering school in the fall of 2007 you must include your undergraduate transcripts. All other students should submit transcripts from the current graduate program. Transcripts must be received stamped and sealed (no photocopies, computer printouts or faxes will be accepted).
RESUME:
Include a current resume.
A complete packet consists of the application, two-page essay and official transcript(s). All materials must be postmarked by June 15, 2007 and submitted to:
