NIH National Research Service Awards for Individual Predoctoral Fellows


Several different fellowship award mechanisms are available to individuals at various stages of their education and scientific career who desire further research training and career development in hearing, balance, smell, taste, voice, speech, and language. In addition, opportunities are available to institutions that wish to offer research traineeships to predoctoral and/or postdoctoral individuals. The predoctoral training support is awarded to doctoral candidates that have successfully completed their comprehensive examinations or the equivalent by the time of award and will be performing dissertation research and training.

Eligibility:
US citizen or national; must have received baccalaureate degree by time of award and must be enrolled in a program leading to a research doctorate or a combined clinical and research degree.
