JOHN AND LUCILLE GUZEY SCHOLARSHIP FUND
A scholarship fund for the benefit of Boys and Girls Club members enrolled at local colleges/universities has been established by John and Lucille Guzey, through an endowment fund contribution.
Guidelines:
- Scholarships may be awarded to current of former male and female members of both the West Side Boys & Girls Club and the Central Boys & Girls Club whose membership includes one year’s active participation. Residents of Lackawanna County who are current or former members may apply.
- The Financial Aid Office of the appropriate institution will review the list of referred
candidates and advise the Boys & Girls Club relative to their eligibility based on the following:
- The applicant has been formally admitted to the institution on a full- time basis.
- The applicant has filed an application for PA State Grant and Federal Student Aid, and demonstrates a financial need

Scholarship application forms may be obtained at the Boys & Girls Club of Northeastern Pennsylvania and the institutions Financial Aid Office. Applications must be submitted no later than June 30, 2007.
